The Simpsons Honors 25 Years of Celebrity Guest Stars with Figures, Collectibles

TheSimpsons25The latest line-up of celebrities in The Simpsons‘ exclusive 25 of the Greatest Guest Stars program will include Buzz Aldrin, Tom Jones, Elvis Costello, Weird Al Yankovic, and Aerosmith.

The limited-edition collection includes figures, collectibles, and more featuring the animated likenesses of 25 of the most celebrated guest stars as they appeared on the TV show. The collection results from a partnership between The National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products to celebrate the 25-year history of The Simpsons.

Products from the previous three waves are now available at various retailers, including Toys ”R” Us locations nationwide.

Star Trek Skele-Treks Debut at Comic-Con

skeletreksCBS Consumer Products has created the Star Trek Skele-Treks universe inspired by Mexican culture and traditions in conjunction with Maya Studio and Spanish artist Javi Molner. CBS Consumer Products has signed National Entertainment Collectibles Association Inc. (NECA) to introduce a multi-category collection utilizing a signature artistic style.

Initial Star Trek Skele-Treks products were unveiled at this year’s Comic-Con International: San Diego. Beginning in September, NECA will roll out the first cross-category collection of Star Trek Skele-Treks products worldwide, including apparel, accessories, figures, and plush. The products feature Captain Kirk, Klingons, and the Borg. Future collections will feature other Star Trek characters.

Sanrio and NECA Sign Licensing Agreement

Sanrio Inc. and National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) have entered into a licensing agreement to produce games, collectibles, toys, and novelty items featuring Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters.

The new Hello Kitty line will cater to long-time collectors, with action figures and statues, high-end lamps, calendars, tea sets, vintage carrying cases, various tabletop games, and a HeroClix miniature gaming collection from NECA’s games subsidiary WizKids. The Hello Kitty products will launch in North America this summer.
