In Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin, players take on the roles of their favorite Ninja warriors and use an array of vehicles, mechs, and dragons to battle their way through the Ninjago universe. A new enemy named Ronin enters the game and has the ability to steal the memories of Ninja warriors by using the Obsidian Glaive weapons. Players must locate these weapons and retrieve their powers before Ronin succeeds in completing his evil plans.
The new key artwork features ninjas Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, and Lloyd, as well as the mysterious Ronin.
To celebrate International Ninja Day, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and The Lego Group announced that the next installment of Lego Ninjago franchise, Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin, will be available for Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita next spring. Developed by TT Fusion, a subsidiary of TT Games, the latest Lego handheld game delivers an untold story of the Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu TV show.
In Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin, players will battle through iconic locales from the TV series, including the Ice Temple, the Toxic Bogs, and a mysterious new island, as well as visit the mountain village of Spinjago, where the Ninjas are training with Grand Sensei Dareth and Sensei Wu. Using their Spinjitzu abilities, players can unleash their Ninja’s elemental power and smash their way through enemies and solve puzzles. They can even team up and create multi-elemental builds using the Tornado of Creation.
Denmark’s Lego A/S said that revenue during the first six months rose 11 percent, boosted by The Lego Movie products. This makes Lego the biggest toy company in the world in terms of both revenue and profit, ahead of Mattel Inc. The jump also puts Lego slightly ahead of Mattel in sales for the first six months of the year.
The licensing of the movies themselves isn’t a significant element of sales for Lego compared with the sales of movie-related boxes of bricks. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and The Lego Group will release the second installment of the Lego Ninjago franchise, Lego Ninjago: Nindroids, to the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita this summer. Hellbent Games developed the sequel in partnership with TT Games.
The game will feature 30 fast-paced, action-packed levels that follow key plot scenarios featured in the Lego Ninjago Rebooted animated series. Players get to use vehicles such as the Kai Fighter, special moves, combo attacks, and secret weapons like Technoblades to solve puzzles and defend New Ninjago city.
