Silvergate Media Signs Multi-Territory Deal with Netflix for Octonauts

octonautsSilvergate Media has signed a three year, multi-territory deal with Netflix for seasons one, two, and three of Octonauts.

Netflix is currently the exclusive subscription video on demand (SVOD) partner for Octonauts in the U.S. With the new deal, Octonauts is now available on Netflix in France, Latin America, and Canada. The number of series available varies in each territory.

Oconauts is now in its fourth season and is aired in more than 100 countries on Disney Channel, ABC, TF1, Super RTL, and China Central TV.

Silvergate Renews Fisher-Price as Master Toy Licensee for Octonauts

OctonautsSilvergate Media has signed a three-year master toy renewal deal with Fisher-Price Inc. for Octonauts, its undersea preschool adventure property.

Fisher-Price has been Silvergate’s toy partner for Octonauts since 2011, with the brand established as a leading preschool toy property in the United States, UK, Europe, Australia, and Korea. A successful toy launch is underway in China, with one in Russia to follow this fall. Fisher-Price plans to launch more than 20 new toys in 2016, based around a fantastic “Year of Slime” play pattern. Kaboom! Secures Branded Retail Space Across Canada

The exclusive spaces will launch November 5 and will host releases coming through the Treehouse Presents DVD label, jointly created by Corus and Phase 4 Films.

Brands, including OctonautsMy Big Big Friend, Franklin & Friends, Toopy & Binoo, Chuggington, and The Bernstain Bears will be included in Target’s first line of exclusive Movie Night packaging, and kaboom! will be creating downloadable activities, recipes, and games for each release.

Fisher-Price Continues as Master Toy Partner for Silvergate Media’s Octonauts

OctonautsUK independent entertainment company, Silvergate Media has signed a renewal deal with Fisher-Price Inc. to continue as master toy partner for its preschool property Octonauts.

During its first term, branded toys have hit shelves across the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and the U.S. with an exclusive Toys “R” Us launch.

The animated adventure series has been sold in more than 100 territories and is broadcast on CBeebies in the UK, Disney Junior in the U.S., ABC in Australia, and SuperRTL’s Toggolino in Germany. The extension of the master toy deal will not only bring new toys, but build on the successful broadcast platform as well.

Toys “R” Us Dives Into the Underwater World of Octonauts

Toys “R” Us will introduce an assortment of toys from Fisher-Price based on the underwater world of Octonauts, which will splash into its stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com beginning in March. The store will be the first retailer in the U.S. to offer aquatic explorers the opportunity to take an undersea voyage with the preschool line of action figures, playsets, and vehicles based on the show, which airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Octonauts Set to Premiere in Germany This Summer

Chorion has secured its first major multi-rights deal with German broadcaster Super RTL. The channel has acquired 50 x 11’ minutes and 2 x 22-minute specials of Chorion’s preschool series Octonauts, with a second window to play on Disney Germany. The deal combines TV, home entertainment, and licensing and merchandising rights for the brand. The TV series is planned to debut in Germany on Disney Junior this summer and on Super RTL this fall. The deal follows the agreement with Disney U.S. for the premiere of Octonauts on Disney Junior next year.
