This year, Gund is expanding several popular licensed product lines with new characters, costumes, and formats. Nickelodeon and Nordstrom are debuting a new specialty plush toy line inspired by the Nickelodeon animated preschool series Peter Rabbit. Along with the Gund plush, two brand-new books, The Start of Spring and Peter and Friends Sticker Activity Book, published by Penguin, will also be accessible to customers.
The line includes 12-inch plush and 6-inch beanbags featuring all three series characters. These featured products will be available online and nationwide in nearly 100 Nordstrom stores in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and other U.S. cities.
The same Nickelodeon digital team that created the Nick App has developed the new Nick Jr. App, which will launch this spring. The app is designed specifically for preschoolers and will feature educational activities, a high level of interactivity, short-form video and curriculum-based content, and full-length on-demand episodes and live streaming of Nick Jr. with authentication.
The Nick Jr. App includes the television series Dora the Explorer, Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies, PAW Patrol, Peter Rabbit, Wallykazam!, Go, Diego, Go!, Max & Ruby, The Fresh Beat Band, The Backyardigans, and Blues Clues.
The app will be available for the iPad at the App Store and will roll out on additional platforms in the coming months.
Zoobies introduces its new Zoobie Pets line, the Story Time Collection, which kids and parents can snuggle up with during story time. The company has partnered with some of the most famous story time books to create the new three-in-one plush characters. The new Zoobies include Paddington from the series of books by Michael Bond, Olivia from the series of books by Ian Falconer, Mr. Happy and Little Miss Sunshine from the Mr. Men and Little Miss series by Roger Hargreaves, Peter Rabbit from the storybook by Beatrix Potter, and Spot from the series by Eric Hill.

Chorion, through its Copyrights subsidiary, is expanding its licensees, retail programs, and product lines for The World of Beatrix Potter across the U.S., UK, Australia, and Asia. The property now has a roster of more than 350 licensees and retail programs around the world.
Pottery Barn Kids in the U.S. will expand its Peter Rabbit range in 2011. Australia will see a cross-category launch in Toys “R” Us stores, featuring Peter Rabbit infant apparel, bedding, toys, feeding, and hard goods such as strollers and high chairs beginning in August.
