Hasbro and Ubisoft to Launch Hasbro Game Channel on Xbox, PlayStation Consoles

MonopolyPlusHasbro and Ubisoft have announced the Hasbro Game Channel, a destination for family game entertainment on leading consoles, featuring games based on Hasbro’s most popular brands. The Hasbro Game Channel will be available to download this fall on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. All games will also be available for download individually on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The first three games available on the Hasbro Game Channel will be Monopoly Plus, a customizable 3-D version of the game that lets up to six players choose their own house rules; Risk, where players will venture into simulating modern warfare combat with a new strategic experience and modern armies; and Trivial Pursuit Live! will test fans on the trivia game with a TV-show setting and reinvented question formats.

Walmart Matches Competitors’ Black Friday Deals One Week Early

logo-walmartHoliday shoppers don’t have to wait until Black Friday to start shopping for deals at Walmart. At of 8 a.m. on November 22, Walmart has started a pre-Black Friday savings event in stores and online, lowering the prices on popular toys and electronics, to match select Black Friday offers from Target, Toys “R” Us, and Best Buy one week early.

The retailer also extends its Christmas Ad Match to walmart.com customers. Customers who purchase an item on walmart.com, and find a lower price in a local competitor, can email christmasadmatch@walmart.com and receive the difference on a gift card. The same policy is in place for customers at Walmart stores for items purchased November 1 through December 24, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Examples of toys and electronics that are part of Walmart’s pre-Black Friday saving event, while supplies last, include LeapPad 2, Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, Nerf Rebelle Crossbow, Monopoly Board Game, Hot Wheels Single Car, Skylanders and Disney Infinity Starter Packs, and select PS4 and Xbox One video games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14 and Battlefield 4. Sony Plans Launch for PlayStation 4

SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA LLC LOGOSony Computer Entertainment Inc. reveals that the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system will launch on November 15 in Canada and the U.S., and November 29 in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. The PS4 will also launch in the following Latin America countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.

SCE will continue to offer breakthrough gaming and entertainment experiences to users by further enriching the services available on PS4 such as PSN and PlayStation Plus, a membership service offering members exclusive content and features, while enhancing the PS4 system itself through future system software updates.

There are currently more than 180 PS4 titles in development. This line-up reflects the strong support for PS4 among virtually every software developer and publisher and within the independent development community.  Since June of this year, the number of developers joining has increased from nearly 500 to 620.
