Rubie’s Supplies Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Costumes for NYSE Bell Ringing

rubielogoRubie’s Costume Co. Inc. supplied 50 officially licensed Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy costumes to attendees at last Tuesday’s ringing of the bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, who played Star-Lord, and Zoe Saldana, who portrayed Gamora, joined Marvel Entertainment executives as they marked the opening day of trading.

“To partner with Marvel on such a monumental tradition of the bell ringing at the NYSE was truly an honor for us, and we were delighted the movie’s stars had a chance to see our designs and their likeness captured in costume form,” said Howard Beige, Rubie’s executive vice president.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Costume Collection by Rubie’s is available for this Halloween.

COMMENTARY: Adrenaline Lovers Welcome a New Razor Thrill Ride

Ali Kermani is no stranger to adrenaline. A thrill-junkie and lover of skate- and snowboards, he had landed a job inventing and demonstrating scooter tricks with Razor when Carlton Calvin, president of Razor, was in the crowd at a skateboard demo and immediately saw his skateboarding talent. The Crazy Cart is a 100-percent electric vehicle that takes the visual shape and control layout of more traditional go-karts, but drives itself with a single front-wheel mounted electric motor. Sanrio Partners with Razor USA

Sanrio, best known for its Hello Kitty brand, has announced the signing of a new licensing agreement with Razor USA. Marking Razor USA’s first-ever license agreement, the new Hello Kitty A kick scooter is a co-branded version of the original Razor A kick scooter, and is slated to make its retail debut the first week of November. The agreement is effective immediately.

The Hello Kitty Razor A kick scooter is one of the first Razor kick scooters targeted specifically to girls. At a suggested retail price of $39.99, the scooter, which comes with a small Hello Kitty accessory bag, will be available at www.razor.com, www.sanrio.com, and select retailers for the holidays, with expanded national distribution in 2010.

Razor USA also announced that two more co-branded Hello Kitty products – the Razor Pocket Mod miniature electric Euro-style scooter and Razor E100 electric scooter – will debut next year.
