Jakks Pacific has released its full assortment of collectible figures and role-play items inspired by the Legendary and Universal Pictures‘ new film, Warcraft. The full line of toys features a variety of characters in different scales, representing both the Alliance and the Horde. The line is available exclusively at Toys “R” Us, and will be available at all mass retailers in June, coinciding with the release of the movie.
Jakks Pacific Inc. has entered a global licensing agreement with World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (WWE) to manufacture, distribute, and market a line of dress up and other consumer products based on WWE’s superstars and divas, as well as its TV series, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown.

DHX Brands, a part of DHX Media, has appointed Jakks Pacific Inc. as master toy licensee for the show, Make It Pop, for all territories outside of Europe. The products will include dolls, plush, dress-up, role-play, girls’ electronic toys, and Halloween costumes, and are expected to launch in 2016.
Warner Bros. Pictures, Hasbro’s Allspark Pictures, and Sweetpea Entertainment are launching a feature film franchise based on Dungeons & Dragons, the world’s most popular role-playing game. Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis, Courtney Solomon and Allan Zeman of Sweetpea Entertainment, as well as Roy Lee (The LEGO Movie, How to Train Your Dragon) are attached as producers.
FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment (FMKFE) recently announced that it has greenlit the second season of the highly-rated preschool series, Kate & Mim-Mim. Series two is due to launch on Disney Junior US and will air globally late this year. The series is currently in pre-production and will include two themed seasonal specials.
John Gessert (JG): We are starting to see more interest at the consumer level in toys that promote or support basic play patterns. We have received notes from consumers that complement our products not only for being made in the U.S., but also for providing a basis for good basic role playing that results in active play that promotes imagination. Another role-play area that seems to be increasing from initial line reviews for fall is in doll-related play. It appears that demand for doll accessories has increased for 2015.
