Royal Jumbo Appoints Spin Master as Stratego Licensee for North America

Royal Jumbo, part of The Netherlands’ JumboDiset toy company, has appointed Spin Master as its partner for the production, sales, and marketing of Stratego in North America and Canada. The agreement with Spin Master will start January 1, 2011.

Royal Jumbo recently announced that its exclusive Stratego license agreement with Hasbro, which ends at the end of this year, would not be renewed. The partnership between Hasbro and Royal Jumbo lasted for nearly 50 years. Royal Jumbo stated that “strategic changes in both companies ultimately drove the decision not to renew the license after its regular expiration.”
