Spirit Halloween to Host Annual Spirit of Children Program

SpiritofChildrenSpirit Halloween will continue its annual Spirit of Children program, which brings Halloween cheer and festivities to hospitalized children by hosting more than 84 events in conjunction with Child Life departments throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Special guests at select Spirit of Children parties will include Warner Brothers’ Batman, Saban‘s Power Rangers Super Megaforce; Nickelodeon‘s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer, and Bubble Guppies; DreamWorks Animation‘s Puss in Boots, Skipper from Penguins of Madagascar, and more.

This year, Spirit of Children’s goal is to raise $5.2 million—bringing its total contribution to more than $21 million donated since the program’s inception in 2006.

Shoppers can donate to the Spirit of Children program online or in a Spirit Halloween location. The funds raised will go to the location’s closest hospital. Spirit Halloween shoppers who make at least a $2 donation will receive a Spirit of Children bracelet.

All funds raised are donated to participating Child Life departments across North America and focus on the emotional and psychological well being of hospitalized children while doctors and nurses focus on their medical needs.

Power Rangers Megaforce Halloween Line-Up Includes New Costumes, Safety Video, and More

Power.RangerSaban’s Power Rangers Megaforce celebrates this Halloween season with a variety of Power Rangers activities throughout October, including a Halloween safety campaign that highlights safety tips for kids to use while trick-or-treating. Power Rangers costumes, including all-new Power Rangers Megaforce costumes, are available at Spirit Halloween locations nationwide and online. The Power Rangers have also joined forces with Spirit Halloween for a second annual Power Rangers Spirit of Children Week, in which the Power Rangers Megaforce will visit 16 hospitals across the country to entertain young patients, bringing the Halloween spirit to life. Spirit Halloween, Saban Partner For Spirit of Children Week

Spirit Halloween, the largest seasonal Halloween retailer in North America, is once again bringing the fun and excitement of Halloween to hospitalized children throughout the United States and Canada with its Spirit of Children program.

Since 2006, Spirit of Children has supported Child Life departments to make hospital stays less scary for kids and their families and touches hundreds of thousands of pediatric patients each year by providing both fun and funding to hospitals at Halloween and all year long. Spirit of Children enables hospitalized children to celebrate Halloween like kids should by organizing events with costumes, accessories, decorations, and activities. This season, Spirit of Children will host celebrations at 85 hospitals and hopes to raise $3.5 million, bringing its total contribution to more than $10 million since the program’s inception.

New this year, Spirit of Children has teamed up with Saban’s Power Rangers Super Samurai and Power Rangers emPOWER to visit and entertain young hospital patients and promote a safe and “Powered Up” Halloween nationwide during Spirit of Children Week.
