Rashti & Rashti Acquires Prestige Toy Corporation

RashtiandRashtiRashti & Rashti has acquired Prestige Toy Corporation, a producer of infant plush toy products. Along with the Prestige brand, Rashti & Rashti has obtained several licenses for plush through the deal, including Elf on a Shelf, Fisher Price, Sesame Street, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and both Garanimals and Grin and Grow, which are exclusive to Wal-Mart.

Kids II Acquires Rhino Toys and Taggies

Kids II, Inc., an infant and toddler products company, has acquired two companies, Rhino Toys and Taggies, enhancing the Kids II collection of forward-thinking products, the company said. The acquisitions were announced at the company’s The Mother of Invention Showcase of New Innovations in New York City last week.

Rhino Toys products, including the flagship product O-Ball, are designed to provide innovative, tactile, and high-performance play. Kids II plans to strengthen, reinvent, and add designs to the collection.

Taggies, originally created as plush security blankets with satin ribbon loops, has transformed into a lifestyle brand, offering its signatures blankets in new designs, plush toys, apparel, and accessories. Kids II will maintain Taggies quality while expanding the collection with new products.

Taggies and Rhino products are available in stores now, and more products under the Kids II umbrella are expected to debut soon.

Bright Starts Announces New Products, Honors Mom at NYC Event

Bright Starts, an infant brand under the Kids II family, revealed its newest products and also honored its 2011 Pink Power Mom in a special celebration at The New Museum in New York City last week.

Included in the new products were three additions to the InGenuity line: the washable Playard (SRP $139.99), the Sway Seat (SRP $119.99), and the Chair Top High Chair (SRP $54.99).

Bright Starts also introduced Having a Ball, its first-ever product line geared towards the six-to-36 month age range. The seven new toys all retail for under $49.99 and aim to engage toddlers in a fun combination of learning and ball play.
