Nickelodeon to Launch Nick Jr. App

March17.NickJrAppThe same Nickelodeon digital team that created the Nick App has developed the new Nick Jr. App, which will launch this spring. The app is designed specifically for preschoolers and will feature educational activities, a high level of interactivity, short-form video and curriculum-based content, and full-length on-demand episodes and live streaming of Nick Jr. with authentication.

The Nick Jr. App includes the television series Dora the Explorer, Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies, PAW Patrol, Peter Rabbit, Wallykazam!, Go, Diego, Go!, Max & Ruby, The Fresh Beat Band, The Backyardigans, and Blues Clues.

The app will be available for the iPad at the App Store and will roll out on additional platforms in the coming months.

Nickelodeon, Fuhu Inc. Sign Multi-Year Deal

NICKELODEON NABI JR. TABLETS

Nickelodeon and Fuhu Inc. have signed a multi-year deal to produce and distribute Nickelodeon-themed tablet accessories and nabi Jr. tablets pre-loaded with the network’s content. The first release of the partnership is the recently launched, touchscreen nabi Jr. tablet, filled with educational apps, games, and videos, from Nickelodeon preschoolseries including, Dora the ExplorerTeam Umizoomi, and Bubble Guppies. This spring, a line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-inspired mobile tablet accessories, such as character bumpers, Kinabis, and stands, will be available nationwide.

Additionally, Fuhu, Inc. is an associate sponsor of Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, airing March 23 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

New Product: Team Umizoomi Preschool Math Kits

Team Umizoomi, the educational preschool show airing on Nickelodeon, is launching its first consumer product line, Team Umizoomi Preschool Math Kits. These new products help promote social and cognitive development in young children before they reach kindergarten.

The Math Kits will address the nine essential areas of math that preschoolers need to know: numbers, counting, patterns, shapes, measuring, positioning, sorting, classification, and reasoning. Each kit is based on one of three popular Team Umizoomi episodes and is equipped with a workbook, a storybook, an activity book, Math Mission Cards, and a Team Umizoomi episode on DVD.

The Team Umizoomi Preschool Math Kits will be available exclusively at Toys “R” Us stores beginning July 1st. The kits can also be purchased online from Nickelodeon starting in mid-July.

Nick Launches Merchandising Programs for Series

Nickelodeon Consumer Products (NCP) is launching merchandising and licensing programs for four of its popular series: Big Time Rush, Victorious, Fanboy and Chum Chum, and Team Umizoomi. The programs will span toys, accessories, home décor, apparel, packaged goods, social expressions, and more.

Big Time Rush is a live-action series that chronicles the journey of four best friends who get a chance to be part of the glamorous L.A. pop music scene. 

Victorious is a series about a teen called Tori who lands an invitation to enroll in an elite performing arts high school. As she navigates her way through the school and its challenging curriculum, she meets other gifted teens like herself.

Fanboy & Chum Chum, which averages 32 million monthly viewers, tells the story of a boy named Fanboy; his best friend and trusty sidekick, Chum Chum; and their hyper imagination.

Team Umizoomi, a preschool series focused entirely on math, combines action-adventure missions with an interactive math curriculum.
