Warner Bros. Consumer Products Unveils Worldwide Licensing Program for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has teamed up with their global licensees to create an array of offerings inspired by the second film of The Hobbit Trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM). Global licensees include partners across multiple categories, including toys, apparel, and publishing.

Co-master toy licensees The Bridge Direct and Vivid Group will offer an assortment of detailed action figures, collector’s figures, and role play accessories that bring the films’ characters and epic quests to life. Also supporting the film are Lego with adventure-filled building sets, physical effects house Weta Workshop with replicas based off of those Weta created for the film, The Noble Collection with high-end collectibles, Ravensburger with puzzles, HarperCollins Publishers with detailed companion books, Bioworld with apparel for all ages, and Rubies Costume Co with costumes, accessories and dress-up clothes, among others. Lineup of Licensees for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has announced that the last installment of the best-selling Harry Potter film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2, will be ushered in with a wide array of merchandising products for fans of all ages. The movie hits theaters nationwide Friday.

Lego has released a variety of play sets that feature locations and scenes from the films, including Hogwarts, The Forbidden Forest, and the Knight Bus. The Noble Collection will offer intricately crafted wands and other artifacts replicated from the series. Additional global licensees include NECA, Tomy, Panini, DeAgostini, Hasbro, Rubie’s Costume Co., Artbox Entertainment, Gentle Giant, Bioworld Merchandising Inc., Hallmark, Mead, Tonner Doll, and Jelly Belly Candy Company, which will re-release its 20-flavor collection of Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans. Warner Bros. Signs New Deals for Harry Potter, Expands Looney Tunes Program

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) has announced licensing agreements with Creative Imaginations and The Noble Collection in anticipation of the upcoming theatrical releases Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Part 2. The Noble Collection will expand its collection of Harry Potter merchandise by adding 40 new wands, including wands used by each and every character in the Harry Potter film series, bringing the total wand collection to more than 60.

The Noble Collection, who worked closely with the Harry Potter film production team to ensure that the products are authentic and true to the films, will have approximately 200 Harry Potter products, including wands, jewelry, chess sets, and other collectibles. The products will be available by the end of the year at www.noblecollection.com.

WBCP also signed a two-year licensing deal with Creative Imaginations. The company, which provides custom manufacturing of scrapbook products via licensed artist and brand designs, will create a new line based on the Harry Potter films, including scrapbooking paper, stickers, albums, kits, autograph books, embellishments, and more.
