Tonner’s Wizard of Oz Dolls Meet High Fashion for Charity Auction

wizard of ozIn celebration of the 75th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, Marc Jacobs along with nearly 20 other notable designers like Donna Karan and Herve Leger re-imagined the costumes of iconic leading ladies Dorothy, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West for Tonner Doll’s collection of 22-inch dolls.

They will be available for bidding on eBay Giving Works from September 4 to September 14. Gross proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity and Warner Bros. Consumer Products“There’s No Place Like Home” Campaign.

 

Warner Bros. Consumer Products Brings Godzilla-Sized List of Licensees to Toy Fair

WB Consumer ProductsWarner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) enters this year’s American International Toy Fair with an extensive lineup of global licensees in support of its entertainment properties, milestone anniversaries, and upcoming theatrical releases.

Bandai America Inc. and Jakks Pacific Inc. will each support Godzilla, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, with new toy lines. Jakks’ line of Godzilla products will include an Ultimate Large Scale Godzilla Figure with 12 points of articulation and a length of over 43 inches, making it one of the largest toys in Godzilla history. Other worldwide partners include Rubie’s Costume Co., NECA, and Sideshow Collectibles.

WBCP’s toy partners will also release toys and collectibles based on The Hobbit Trilogy. The Bridge Direct and Vivid Group will support the film series with new figures. Additional partners include Eaglemoss, Funko, Kosmos, and Ravensburger.

The Wizard of Oz will celebrate its 75th anniversary with Mattel‘s new line of dolls for The Wizard of Oz Barbie collection. Enesco, Tonner Doll, and Madame Alexander will each offer collectible figures. Warner Bros. will also continue its There’s No Place Like Home campaign in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Gone with the Wind will also mark its 75th anniversary with new collectible figures from Madame Alexander and Tonner Doll. Tonner Gets into the Action with Lady Action

Lady ActionTonner Doll Co. Inc. has developed a new 16-inch Lady Action collectible doll through a partnership with Captain Action Enterprises. The Lady Action British Superspy doll recently debuted at New York Comic Con at the Javits Center in New York City and will be showcased at the American International Toy Fair in February, as well as the Tonner Collectors Convention in May.

Since Lady Action was introduced in 2007 as part of the Captain Action line, she has been scheduled to appear in the upcoming Captain Action comic series, Codename: Action, published by Dynamite Entertainment. Caption Action: The Animated Series is also currently in development with Gang of Seven Animation.

This collectible doll, also known in reality as Niki Sinclair, daughter of an adventurer and now part of the A.C.T.I.O.N. Directorate international spy organization, will be available to fans and collectors in comic shops nationwide as well as through online retailers and at tonnerdoll.com in May.

Tonner Toys Launches New Doll Collection

Tonner Toys launches City Girls, a new doll collection by doll artist Robert Tonner and creative designer Jason Carrao-Reilley. The new collection features Astor the Fitness Model, Houston the Personal Shopper, Brook-Lynn the Event Planner, and Billy the Bakery Owner. Lineup of Licensees for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has announced that the last installment of the best-selling Harry Potter film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2, will be ushered in with a wide array of merchandising products for fans of all ages. The movie hits theaters nationwide Friday.

Lego has released a variety of play sets that feature locations and scenes from the films, including Hogwarts, The Forbidden Forest, and the Knight Bus. The Noble Collection will offer intricately crafted wands and other artifacts replicated from the series. Additional global licensees include NECA, Tomy, Panini, DeAgostini, Hasbro, Rubie’s Costume Co., Artbox Entertainment, Gentle Giant, Bioworld Merchandising Inc., Hallmark, Mead, Tonner Doll, and Jelly Belly Candy Company, which will re-release its 20-flavor collection of Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans.
