The first series of Marvel Animated Minimates is scheduled to arrive at Walgreens stores this month, while Series 1.5 is scheduled for a holiday release. Consisting of an all-new assortment of eight Minimates mini-figures, it draws on the worlds of Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man.
Jakks Pacific Inc. will launch a line of toys based on existing and upcoming Marvel characters and properties. The collection will include R/C vehicles, electric- and battery-operated train and track sets, and handheld 3D character flashlights based on Marvel animated series Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Marvel’s Avengers Assemble. There will also be toys based on upcoming Marvel theatrical releases, including Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and Marvel’s Ant-Man. These products are expected on retailers’ shelves nationwide next year.
Marvel Entertainment, LLC will soon be spinning a major retail web as Ultimate Spider-Man product launches this year with new theming, packaging, and innovation. Marvel will unleash a consumer products program for one of the most enduring and iconic super heroes in the world with more than 200 licensees signing on to create product lines across all major product categories—from toys, games, apparel, and accessories to home goods, collectibles, and social expressions. Marvel Entertainment has announced a new animated series for Spider-Man. Ultimate Spider-Man launches in fall 2011 on Disney XD. The new series will chronicle the adventures of naive high-schooler Peter Parker as he comes to grips with his new powers.
Along with his new powers, the challenge for the young web-slinger in the new series is balancing his relationships with his friends and family and his super colleagues who can help him gain an understanding of his parent’s legacy and his destiny. Check out more at Marvel.com.
