YO-KAI WATCH photo boothYo-Kai Watch Land, an app based on the anime series Yo-Kai Watch, has launched and is now available to download on compatible iOS and Android devices in the U.S., Canada, and Australia. Level-5, in collaboration with Hasbro, developed the app.

Cra-Z-Art Inks Yo-Kai Watch Licensing Deal

CraZArtLogoCra-Z-Art has signed a deal to make merchandise based on the Yo-Kai Watch media series. The licensed product will include stationery, art activities, and puzzles. Product will be available in the spring in Canada and the U.S.

COMMENTARY: Positive Outlook for 2016

After attending the TIA’s Fall Toy Preview in Dallas a couple of weeks ago, I feel confident that 2016 is going to be an even better year for the toy industry. While the show floor seemed quieter than in years past, the majority of companies I met with were upbeat and excited for holiday 2015 and the year ahead. A number of my meetings were cut short due to drop-ins by Walmart, Amazon, Target, and Toys “R” Us buyers, which is always a good sign.

The industry is expected to be up approximately 6 percent this year, and I expect this success to carry over to 2016. I saw a higher than usual number of new lines, and interesting expansions of successful products, proving that manufacturers are riding high on the wings of rising sales, leaving them willing and able to take some risks. Hasbro to Launch Yo-Kai Watch Toy Line

Nintendo,YoKaiWatchWith Yo-Kai Watch, from Nintendo, launching in the U.S. on November 6, Hasbro will be introducing new play items based on the Yo-Kai Watch franchise in North America and Australia in January. Hasbro’s line, which will expand to additional global markets by the end of next year, will include toys and games centered around collectible medals, each representing a unique Yo-kai.

Yo-Kai Watch to Begin Airing on Disney XD in the U.S. Later This Year

YoKai WatchDisney XD has entered into an agreement with Dentsu Entertainment USA Inc. to telecast 26 half-hour episodes of Yo-Kai Watch in the U.S. Based on an original concept by Level 5 Inc., Yo-Kai Watch is a joint production effort by Level 5 Inc., Dentsu Inc., and TV Tokyo Corporation. Level-5 will be leading rights management and marketing coordination for the franchise.

Best-Selling Yo-Kai Watch Is Coming to U.S. on Nintendo 3DS
