Om Nom Toys in New Zeptolab and McDonald’s Happy Meal Promotion

OmNom.FruitSkewerZeptolab is teaming with McDonald’s on a new multi-market Happy Meal promotion for its popular mobile game brand, Cut the Rope. The deal was brokered by Zeptolab’s master licensing agent in Europe, ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE).

Through October, the promotion will run in 37 markets across Europe and will offer a new and exclusive app, Cut the Rope: Hungry for Fruit, which is available on McDonald’s Happy Studio on the iOS and Android platforms. The goal of the game is to get the candy-eating monster, Om Nom, a steady diet of fruit by popping floating bubbles that contain the fruit or Om Nom himself. During the promotion, every Happy Meal purchase will come with one of eight Om Nom fruit-themed toys.

Store window takeovers, fruit sampling, fun fruit recipe cards, and premium demos are among the activations that will support the new Cut the Rope game for the duration of the promotion.

Zeptolab Reveals Expanded Licensing Program at Toy Fair

ZeptoLab, the entertainment and gaming company behind the global mobile phenomenon Cut the Rope, is bringing even more ways for fans to interact with the lovable monster, Om Nom. Debuting at this year’s American International Toy Fair is Om Nom: Candy Flick, a new augmented reality game.

Om Nom: Candy Flick, available on Apple’s App Store, is unlocked via a special tag that can be found on a variety of Om Nom plush toys from toy partner, Round 5. Once downloaded, fans can bring Om Nom to life by positioning their smartphone or tablet’s camera on the tags and watch as he virtually pops out of the tag ready to devour his favorite treat: candy. Cut the Rope to Appear in Movie Theater Pre-Show, Burger King Promotion

Cut the Rope, the app from ZeptoLab, will be making its big screen debut exclusively in National CineMedia’s FirstLook pre-show in movie theaters across the country.

Now through October 25, special Cut the Rope video content, including an all-new animated short starring Om Nom, will run in NCM’s FirstLook prior to select screenings of G- and PG-rated films.

ZeptoLab has also entered into a promotional partnership with Burger King. Beginning next March, the promotion will include a fully integrated marketing campaign that includes in-restaurant merchandising with a collection of toys featuring Om Nom. With the partnership, the toys will come to life through corresponding all-new game levels released weekly via the Burger King website. Patrons of the restaurant will receive one toy as part of the kids’ meal, plus a custom code that will unlock the themed game.

Additionally, Imagine Publications will launch a range of bilingual and French activity books for Canada. The deal was brokered by Studio Licensing, Inc. Activity books will include giant pads, puzzles, boards, magnets, sticker and coloring books, and paint books. Other items include flash cards and surprise bags. The products will be available next summer.
