Live from New York, it’s the TOTY Awards!

Following the news that Toy Fair New York is canceled again this year, The Toy Foundation‘s 2022 Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards are going virtual. Often considered to be the Oscars of the toy industry, the TOTY Awards program recognizes the top toys and games on the market and is a vital fundraiser for The Toy Foundation.

This year’s TOTY ceremony and Toy Industry Hall of Fame induction were set to kick off Toy Fair week during a gala event on Friday, Feb. 18. Now, the event will take place as a live stream beginning at 4 p.m. ET on that same date. As with last year’s virtual TOTYs, the public is invited to attend for a peek behind the curtain at the industry’s annual celebration.

“While we were all looking forward to gathering in person at the TOTYs, we know that the virtual gala will still bring all the excitement, celebration, and anticipation that the awards program is famous for — right to the comfort of your own home,” says Pamela Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation.

Additional information regarding the program and options donations or refunds for tickets purchased to the live event can be found at The Toy Association website.
