On July 13, our sister publication, the Toy Insider, will welcome the toy industry back to Pier Sixty in New York City for its annual Sweet Suite event, and this year a new partnership will amplify the power of play to kids in need.

The Toy Foundation (TTF) is joining the epic toy party as the official nonprofit partner of Sweet Suite. The more than 60 participating exhibitors at Sweet Suite are invited to donate their toys, games, and products from the event to TTF’s The Toy Bank to deliver to deserving kids in the local area.

“We can’t wait to bring toy companies, media, and influencers back together in-person to see and play with the hottest toys of the year,” says Jackie Breyer, publisher of the Toy Insider. “We love being part of an industry that puts kids and families first, and we are proud to partner with The Toy Foundation to help deliver our partners’ donated products to local children in need.”

TTF launched The Toy Bank nearly a decade ago to bring toys to kids’ charities throughout the U.S. and around the world all year long. Since 2003, more than $225 million in toys have put smiles on the faces of over 26 million kids, thanks to the toy community.

“We are excited to partner with the Toy Insider and the participating exhibiting toy companies to deliver the extraordinary benefits of play to children in need,” says TTF Executive Director Pamela Mastrota. “At the Foundation, we aim to be the uniting force for the collective philanthropy of our industry because when we collaborate with others it leads to greater impact. Thank you to all those involved for your incredible generosity.”

Sweet Suite is a legendary toy party inviting press and top-tier digital influencers, including Instagram stars, TikTokers, and YouTube creators, to preview some of the hottest new toys for the fall and upcoming holiday shopping season. Participating exhibitors include Crayola, Just Play, LeapFrog, LEGO, Hasbro, Mattel, MGA Entertainment, Moose Toys, Spin Master, VTech, and more.

TTF’s local nonprofit partner, Giving Friends. will distribute products from Sweet Suite to families in the NYC area. Giving friends supports kids and families living in social service residences.

“We are excited to receive such a generous donation from Sweet Suite exhibitors as this will help us deliver smiles to many more families,” says Lynne Corry, founder of Giving Friends. “We will be able to bring gifts to even more children in need and show them that they matter and someone cares.”
