TIAThe Toy Industry Association (TIA) will again partner with Industry Insights Inc. to conduct a confidential Toy Industry Financial and Operating Benchmark Study, which will enable toy companies to see how their numbers compare to companies of similar size, category, and distribution channel.

This year’s study will collect and analyze financial information exclusively from TIA member companies engaged in the manufacture, importing, and distribution of toys. Data culled from company profiles, income statements, and balance sheets will be used to provide barometers, benchmarks, and statistics that will assist members in making sound business decisions.

The questionnaire can be completed securely online or via hard copy, which would be mailed to members in late February. There is no fee to participate, and all responses will be kept in strict confidence, with no individual company responses shared with TIA or any other person or organization. The survey period will close on April 3.

Participants will receive a confidential and complimentary report of the company’s individualized information, industry totals aggregated by key segments, and an online searchable results tool. Only those companies who submit responses will have the opportunity to compare their own financial information alongside the data.

Questions regarding survey specifics may be directed to Michael Becher, senior project director of Industry Insights, at (614) 389-2100, ext. 114. All other questions may be directed to TIA’s Anne McConnell at (646) 520-4870. TIA members who do not participate in the study may purchase the results for $750, or $1,500 for non-members.
