Members of the Toy Industry Association (TIA) will participate in a fact-finding excursion and cultural immersion program at Kids India, the country’s largest trade event for the toy industry, scheduled to take place September 24 to 26 in Mumbai. Created by the TIA and Spielwarenmesse eG, the program will include a full agenda of show-related activities intended to inform U.S. companies interested in entering the Indian toy market.
Educational workshops will explore local advertising formats, the influence of traditional vs. social media on toy shopping habits, consumer demographics, the country’s top-selling toy categories, and more. There will also be networking opportunities and retailer visits. The Indian toy market is projected to grow 20 percent and reach U.S. $3.8 billion by 2020.
