The Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) 8th annual Washington, DC Fly-In will take place on June 2 to 4. Intended to provide small business owners and large toy companies with an effective way to have their voices heard on issues significantly impacting their business, this year’s program offers small group meetings with leading lawmakers, a boat tour, and more.
Fly-In meetings will focus on a number of important industry issues, such as reforming the Toxic Substances Control Act, addressing port congestion, and important surveillance concerns. There will also be a welcome dinner and scenic boat tour along the Potomac River, a Genius of Play-themed legislative reception on Capitol Hill centered on the importance of toys and play, meetings at the Consumer Product Safety Commission to discuss third-party testing burdens, and more.
The draft agenda is available at the TIA website, and TIA member companies of all sizes are encouraged to register. A room block at the Grand Hyatt Washington has been reserved for Fly-In participants at a special group rate for single and double occupancy. Reservations can be made online or by calling 1 (888) 421-1442 (and mentioning TIA) no later than May 11.
