Tinker Bell to be Named UN “Honorary Ambassador of Green”

In a ceremony on Sunday, October 25, the United Nations will name Disney’s Tinker Bell “Honorary Ambassador of Green” for “living consistently in harmony with the environment.” The ceremony will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and will be followed by the world premiere of Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure. Guests will include Raven Symone, the voice of Disney fairy Iridessa, and Mae Whitman, the voice of Tinker Bell, as well as UN delegates.

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure will be released October 27 on Blu-ray and DVD. The film follows Tinker Bell and her adventures in Autumn, where she and the other fairies change the colors of the leaves, tend to pumpkin patches, and help geese fly south for the winter.

Stay tuned for The Toy Book‘s upcoming November/December issue for more green toy industry news.
