Toy & Hobby China and Baby & Stroller China wrapped up on April 10 at the Poly World Trade Center Expo. The three-day events ran from April 8 to 10, and according to a report from the organizer, attracted 40,012 visitors and 1,001 exhibitors. This number was up 5 percent and 7.4 percent, respectively, over the events’ previous editions.
Show participants agreed that the two fairs serve as good stepping stones for the Chinese market, helping overseas toy and baby product suppliers reach the country’s buyer pool, as well as assisting newcomers in strategizing. The shows’ final report indicates that imported toys are gaining more attention in China, due to parents willingness to spend larger amounts of money, as well as an increase in popularity for expensive, foreign brand-name toy and baby products.
A new Innovative Stroller Display Zone, which displayed 72 creative products from 42 top-tier Chinese companies, debuted at the fair.
Toy & Hobby China and Baby & Stroller China marked the first editions organized by Guangzhou Li Tong Messe Frankfurt Co. Ltd., a newly formed joint venture between Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. and the Guangdong Toy Association. The next editions of Toy & Hobby China and Baby & Stroller China will be held on April 8 to 16 at the same venue.
