Toy Soldier Manufacturer Gets New Ownership

The William Britain brand was sold to a new U.S. based company, The Good Solider LLC in Ohio. The W. Britain team moved into its new facility on March 1, and the company’s creative team will remain intact and continue to design and produce toy soldiers.

This transition comes after a decade of ownership under First Gear Inc., which launched half a dozen new lines with improved sculpting and painting detail. The historically accurate figures, researched in partnership with military museums and sculpted by military historians, will continue to expand and increase in detail under The Good Soldier’s stewardship. Clash of Empires and Jack Tars & Leathernecks are the two most recent lines launched.
