Toys “R” Us is stepping into the entertainment sphere with a new production studio.
Toys “R” Us Studios is launching with a 10-episode YouTube series, Geoffrey’s World Tour. The series follows the iconic Toys “R” Us mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe, as he travels to new cities around the world. Each episode features a new city where kids show Geoffrey around, including New York City, Dubai, Singapore, London, Jerusalem, Madrid, Jeddah, Hong Kong, Durban, and Melbourne.
The company will also collaborate with Nickelodeon on a three-episode branded content series. The series will feature contestants answering trivia questions and completing challenges inspired by Geoffrey’s World Tour. Answering questions right means that kids stay clean, but wrong answers will have messy consequences. The series will launch later this spring on the Nickelodeon YouTube channel.
“The new series are designed to give viewers a glimpse of what life is like for kids all over the world and see how wonder, curiosity, and a shared love of Toys ‘R’ Us truly connects us all,” says Kim Miller, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Toys “R” Us and President of Toys “R” Us Studios.
