Many families are turning to crafting during stay-at-home orders, and the proof is in the tie-dye pudding.
YULU is celebrating National Tie Dye Day on April 30 with its Swirl & Style Tie Dye Studio Maker craft activity set. Swirl & Style embraces the current tie-dye trend, and at-home crafting kits have already been seeing increased sales fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic. The kit is selling out at retail locations, according to the company.
With the Swirl & Style Tie Dye Studio Maker, kids can create mess-free creations using the set’s self-contained orb. Users can put tie dye bottles into the self-sealing valves to dye, spin, wash, and then wear their designs. The set includes six bright colors and enough dye to create up to 12 creations.
“Swirl & Style just launched in early-March, and it’s already exceeding YULU’s expectations as we’re seeing sales performance at 150% of the initial forecast,” says Jochem van Rijn, co-CEO and co-Founder at YULU. “At this rate, Swirl & Style will likely sell out by mid-May, and we’re working hard to restock for the second half of the year to meet the demand.”
Ahead of the retail launch at Target, YULU unveiled Swirl & Style to U.S. media and influencers at Toy Fair New York.
