Yvolution Promotes “Do Iku” in Japan

YvolutionLogoYvolution launched a campaign in Japan to promote kids’ involvement in playing sports as a way to encourage their overall healthy development.

Better known as “Do Iku,” the movement stresses the importance of sports and physical activity in the early childhood development of motor skills, balance, and agility. A recent study by Japan’s Stop the Locomo Council found that more than 50 percent of eighth grade Japanese children failed when required to perform one of five movement tests. As physical education programs have diminished throughout Japan’s schools in recent years, Ogi Mama, a highly respected Japanese professor of education and early childhood development, recommends various Yvolution ride-ons as successful products to use when trying to fill the void in the lack of students’ exercise.

As part of its campaign, Yvolution also promotes the finding that physical activity and play set a strong foundation for healthy brain development, leading children to become more successful academically and socially. He also recommends play as the perfect activity to break communication barriers between children and their parents. Ogi Mama proposes that as parents spend time with their children and encourage them to learn and try new activities, children are instilled with a sense of pride and accomplishment, pushing them to fulfill their dreams throughout life.
