Akibabus Ltd. launched BoxiTale, a gaming concept that blends imaginative play with digital technology for a story-based experience that players stream on a tablet or smartphone and solve on a board game.
BoxiTale is available now on amazon.com and to retailers for immediate orders. Akibabus also partnered with Publisher Services Inc. (PSI)—a supplier of games, toys, books, and collectibles—for retail distribution.
The BoxiTale stories lead players into original, animated adventures where they are the heroes who build, design, and solve the challenges presented to them. Once a player’s design is ready, he or she takes a picture of it and uploads it using the BoxiTale app. BoxiTale story sets include Knights of Nature, Elite Explorers, and Boxitale–Mini Stories. Additional stories are available through in-app purchases, with more stories that will be released next year.
