Amazon Kids+ and Moonbug Entertainment, one of the largest digital media companies in the world, announced their new partnership today. The two companies will work together to create, produce, and distribute original content for kids starring familiar, beloved characters.
Their first collaboration will be an original series called Arpo Robot Babysitter, based on the hit YouTube show Arpo, as well as a new Arpo mobile game. The YouTube show follows Arpo, a harmless robotic housekeeper, as he looks after a human family: the absent-minded adults, a meddling 9-year-old boy, and Baby Daniel. Arpo became popular with its slapstick humor and a non-dialogue format that appeals to kids who speak all languages.
“The arrival of Arpo into the Amazon Kids+ offerings is a joyful example of our commitment to deliver content that kids and families will love,” says Head of Amazon Kids+ Original Series Veronica Pickett. “The heart and humor at the core of Arpo creates so many LOL moments that are inspiring the world of entertainment we’re building with the new original series and game.”
This new Amazon Kids+ series will follow Arpo as he takes on new challenges, from caring for Baby Daniel’s adopted Korean baby sister, Cookie, to adjusting to a new team of robots built by Mom. Arpo Robot Babysitter will premiere exclusively on Amazon Kids+.
