Mattel and American Girl are teaming up with Swarovski to auction off one-of-a-kind collector dolls covered in thousands of Swarovski crystals this holiday season.
There are three dolls, featuring formal gowns and accessories that were hand-embellished with more than 5,000 Swarovski crystals and crystal beads in 24 colors. The bidding for each American Girl Collector doll starts at $5,000, with 100% of net proceeds going to the First Responders Children’s Foundation. Mattel and American Girl are also donating more than $1,000,000 in retail value of toys to the foundation’s Toy Express program, including 18-inch American Girl dolls and products from Hot Wheels, Barbie, and Mega Bloks.
The dolls are up for auction now on americangirl.com through Nov. 25. One of each collector doll will be displayed at an American Girl flagship retail store in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles through Dec. 10.
