Vladimir Gorbulya, the former head of licensing and vice president of Animaccord, was promoted to CEO of Animaccord Group effective Jan. 1.
Gorbulya joined the company in January 2012 to develop and promote Animaccord’s Masha and the Bear property worldwide, and focus heavily on the licensing of consumer product, media, and promotional deals.
With Vladimir Gorbulya at the helm, Animaccord raised the profile of its global property Masha and the Bear from a local, CIS-level brand to receiving international recognition. During his tenure, the company’s gross revenue grew five times, despite more than two times domestic market’s currency depreciation—making Animaccord one of the TOP 100 licensors worldwide.
Gorbulya successfully executed an impactful international media strategy, cementing partnership with global media majors for the cartoon broadcast—including Netflix, Google, Corus, NBCUniversal, Sony, Viacom18, RAI, France TV, Televisa, SBT, and more—driving Masha and the Bear brand awareness. He has developed a solid portfolio with global consumer partners for the production of licensed products including Ferrero, Simba Dickie Group, Hachette, Penguin Random House, and Clementoni. Together with his team, Gorbulya developed one of the most successful YouTube campaigns among kids’ IPs (achieving over 42 billion views cumulatively and 44 million subscribers), and implemented a strategic partnership with the Simba Dickie Group, now established shareholders in Animaccord.
In his new CEO role, Vladimir Gorbulya will manage the offices of Animaccord Group in the U.S., Cyprus, and Russia.
