Party City Donates 150,000 Items to The Toy Foundation

Party City donated 150,000 items to The Toy Foundation’s (TTF) Summer Toy Drive. A first-time TTF donor, Party City provided Hello Kitty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Despicable Me puzzle erasers, pencil cases, and plush. Party City’s items were delivered to Braddock Redux, a not-for-profit that serves, supports, and mentors local youth in Braddock, Pennsylvania. Kid Trax Releases Hungry, Hungry Hippos Ride-On

Kid Trax, a brand of Dorel Industries, teamed up with Hasbro to launch a ride-on version of the classic game Hungry Hungry Hippos. The release coincides with the game’s 40th anniversary. The ride-on is themed after the original green Homer Hippo, and kids can either ride or push the foot-powered hippo around. NPD Reports July Video Game Sales

Industry spending on video game hardware, software, and accessories increased 14 percent from July 8 through August 4 when compared to the same time period last year. According to analysis from The NPD Group, growth in hardware and accessories spending offset a decline in full-game software sales.
