Bachmann Trains will showcase new products at Toy Fair New York, including the ready-to-run Transcontinental train set. Released to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in Promontory, Utah on May 10, 1869, the new set celebrates the face-to-face meeting of two locomotives and the driving of silver and golden spikes to join the last two sections of track in what became known as the Golden Spike ceremony.
Equipped with digital sound, the set includes Bachmann’s exclusive E-Z Command digital system that allows train enthusiasts ages 14 and up to independently control the sound, speed, direction, and lighting of two decoder-equipped 4-4-0 commemorative locomotives (Union Pacific, Central Pacific).
Bachmann’s full line of HO, N, On30, and Large Scale train sets can be seen in booth #1230 during Toy Fair New York taking place from Feb. 16 to 19.
