Ronald D. Boire has been named CEO of Barnes & Noble’s retail business, effective September 8. He is currently president, CEO, and a member of the board of directors of Sears Canada.
Boire previously served as president, North America, of Toys “R” Us from 2006 through 2009. He was also executive vice president, global merchandise manager, for Best Buy, responsible for managing U.S. business teams, global technology and vendor management, global sourcing, and private label development.
