Amazon Treasure Truck

The famed Amazon Treasure Truck became a “food truck” on April 5, as Basic Fun! teamed with the retail giant for National Burrito Day. On board the truck — an assortment of Cutetitos plush collectibles, which quickly sold out in more than 15 cities during the one-day event. The excitement of the surprise sale landed Cutetitos on Amazon’s Toys & Games’ Best Sellers list.

“Cutetitos continues to experience exceptional growth around the globe,” says Jay Foreman, CEO of Basic Fun! “Because of unique marketing initiatives like Amazon’s Treasure Truck, which perfectly highlights the trend-driven, viral nature of the brand, Cutetitos is poised to be the next big toy franchise.”

Cutetitos Series 2

Combining the hot trends of surprise plush, blind packaging, and food collectibles, Cutetitos are inspired by the social media craze of pet owners sharing photos and videos of their pets rolled in cozy blankets like a burrito. Each pack includes a collectible stuffed animal wrapped and hidden in a burrito blanket that kids can unroll and discover.

Twelve new Cutetitos characters will join the collection in Series 2 this summer.
