CBS Consumer Products unveiled a lineup of new licensees who have signed on to expand Star Trek’s merchandising program with dozens of new product lines inspired by the iconic intergalactic franchise. From Spin Masters’ remote controlled vehicles to Wooden Expressions’ Tridimensional chess set, fans will get to relive, share, and celebrate the Star Trek franchise in many ways.
In celebration of Star Trek’s 50th anniversary, the merchandising program includes domestic and international partners that will contribute to a landmark year for the franchise. The new licensees will pay tribute to both the legacy and the future of Star Trek across key categories.
These product lines feature new toys, apparel, games, collectibles, books, and more.
New Star Trek licensees around the globe for toys and games include Gale Force Nine for a hobby game; FameTek LLC, a division of Massive Audio Inc. for headphones and Bluetooth speakers; Spin Master for remote control vehicles; Wooden Expressions & The Franklin Mint for co-branded tridimensional chess set; and USAopoly for board games.
For publishing, Cross Cult will create novels, KV&H Verlag will make calendars, National Geographic will create a Star Trek Guide to Our Universe hardcover book; and Price Stern Sloan will make Star Trek Mad Libs and Kirk’s Journal
