The company partnered with Monsoon Digital to launch a series of digital products and promotional material on an NFT (non-fungible token) trading platform. The digital collectibles — including cards, artwork, and games — will be exclusive to the Monsoon platform and a public beta version will go live later this year.
The first wave of CMOn’s digital collectible packs will be available on Monsoon at launch, but details are being kept under wraps for now. CMON’s Kickstarter backers will also have the chance to receive free NFT airdrops when the platform goes live, plus be eligible to receive a limited-edition “CMON Backer” promo NFT.
“While this is absolutely a breakout year for NFTs, we were determined to do something different and unique with the blockchain technology,” said Geoff Skinner, CMON’s senior vice president of marketing and entertainment. “As it is with our tabletop games, our focus is on the customer. The goals we set for this new collector experience are simple: it has to be easy to use and accessible, it has to offer a special, personalized experience, and most importantly, it has to be fun. To these ends, we’re working with our top game designers, graphic designers and artists to create our first blockchain product on Monsoon’s incredible platform.”
