Onward

Next spring, Disney•Pixar’s Onward will lead the charge as Mattel’s expanded licensing agreement with Disney kicks in, and new products based on the film hit stores alongside a fresh lineup of toys inspired by the entire Pixar library.

Following the debut of a teaser earlier this year, Pixar unveiled the official trailer for the film, which follows two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt), as they uncover a mystical wizard’s staff and attempt to bring back their deceased father for just one day. In Onward, the world is inhabited by the characters and creatures of myths and legends, and unicorns are treated as trash pandas, eating garbage like raccoons.

Onward also features the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) as Ian and Barley’s mom, Laurel Lightfoot, and Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) as the voice of the Manticore.

Pixar Animation Studios’ Onward is directed by Dan Scanlon (Monsters University) and produced by Kori Rae (Up).
