The wreaths on everyone’s doors aren’t the only thing that’s green right now: Douglas introduced a new line of Green Friends to hit shelves early next year.

The collection is made from 100% recycled plastic, including the outer body materials, the internal stuffing, the pellets, and even the hang tags. Embroidered eyes will replace traditional plastic eyes sometimes found in plush toys. The first wave of Green Friends is called the From the Ocean collection, which will include a shark, a dolphin, an octopus, a turtle, and an orca whale.

In addition to the eco-friendly plush toys, Douglas is also committed to utilizing shipping cartons made from recycled materials. The toy manufacturer hopes to help eliminate the waste from plastic bottles and other harmful materials from the Earth. It also looks forward to supporting the environment with production innovations in the future, helping to make the world a safer, greener place.
