PJ Masks

eOne‘s PJ Masks arrives on broadcast television in China this week.

The first season of the global hit will debut on FTA CCTV14, marking the first time that the series, which was previously only available on SVOD in the territory, will appear on broadcast. PJ Masks will debut March 21, with daily airings at 1 p.m. in blocks of four episodes shown back-to-back. Families in the territory can also explore the preschool heroes’ world by following the official PJ Masks WeChat account (ID: shuiyixiaoyingxiong).

“Securing broadcast for PJ Masks on China’s leading children’s channel will boost viewership and awareness for the property significantly when it launches this month,” says eOne’s Monica Candiani, EVP content sales, family, and brands. “We’re committed to becoming a leading supplier of high quality children’s entertainment in China and the increased exposure will help us put down roots that will secure the future of PJ Masks for many years to come.”

eOne plans to launch PJ Masks events and activities throughout China this year, while Alpha, the toy partner for the region, will introduce a full range of toys including a headquarters play set, R/C cars, and lights and sounds vehicles.

China continues to be a market to watch for both toys and entertainment. It is expected to become the largest toy-buying country within the next two to three years.
