A specially curated collection of unique and niche brands are coming together as the Uniche Collective, a new division and separate company founded by Hape.
Uniche Collective is being led by Cassidy Smith, a longtime Hape veteran who most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Hape International Inc. At launch, the Uniche Collective features an assortment of products from five brands that have been specifically designed for the specialty toy, gift boutique, and museum markets.
“The specialty market is very near and dear to me, so it’s with the utmost pride that we created this new division and brand of
products exclusive to this market,” says Cassidy Smith, president of Uniche Collective. “Our mission is to supply one-of-a-kind products that you won’t find anywhere else, all with protected online pricing.”
Over the past month, buyers visiting the seasonal gift markets in Dallas and Atlanta have received an early look at the inaugural lineup, including Trido magnetic art; Korko eco-friendly building blocks made of cork; Kruselings dolls and accessories; Senger organic cuddly toys for babies; and Fair & Green, a line of artisanal, handcrafted wooden toys.
“Specialty consumers are searching for something uncommon and exclusive for that first birthday, special occasion gift, or eye-opening holiday present and we’d like to fill that need and space,” Smith says.
Uniche Collective is working with rep groups to service retailers and has fixtures available to make a statement for all of its brands. As part of its protected online pricing policy, Uniche Collective is supporting the specialty market by not allowing sales on the Amazon, eBay, Target, and Walmart platforms.
