First Look: Netflix Original Series True and the Rainbow Kingdom Returns for Valentine's Day

The Netflix Original Series True and The Rainbow Kingdom is back with a special Valentine’s Day episode. From Guru Studio, True: Happy Hearts Day follows last year’s season two offerings, True: Magical Friends and True: Wonderful Wishes, and the recent music video compilation Dance & Sing with True Vol: 2, to kick off a lineup of new content that includes new episodes, seasonal specials, a 44-minute movie, and a mix of comedic shorts and musical content rolling out on Netflix over the next two years. The episode synopsis reads, “It’s Happy Hearts Day! With the help of the magical Wishes, True and Bartleby must cheer up the Rainbow Kingdom when its loneliest citizen Glummy Glooma starts to turn things blue! The 22-minute special episode is packed with adventure, big laughs, and a heart-warming message that it’s okay to be different.”

In 2017, the recently-shuttered Toy State was named master toy partner for a line of True collectible toys that made its way into retail at Walmart Canada last fall. A line of Halloween costumes were available at Party City and select online retailers, with plush available from Aurora World. New toys, collectibles, and other merchandise will hit retail in North America later this year, with additional reveals expected at Toy Fair New York.
