Fisher-Price Voluntarily Recalls Power Wheels Barbie Camper for Fix

Fisher-Price (Mattel) and the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) have issued a voluntary recall on the Power Wheels Barbie Dream Camper, model number FRC29 with a grey foot pedal. The toys were sold exclusively at Walmart stores in the U.S. from July 2018 through January 2019 for around $400. No injuries have been reported, but Mattel has received 17 reports of the vehicle continuing to run after the foot pedal has been released. Due to the potential for injury, consumers are advised to remove the toy from play and contact Fisher-Price for a free repair.

Owners of the Power Wheels Barbie Dream Camper can find the model number on a sticker located under the hood. To obtain the fix, contact Fisher-Price at 800-348-0751 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, online at www.service.mattel.com and click on “Recalls & Safety Alerts,” or visit www.fisher-price.com and click on “Recalls” for more information. Around 44,000 toys are affected.
