Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, the first DLC expansion for Forza Horizon 5, is now available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11 PCs, Cloud Gaming (Beta), and Steam.
For the new expansion, Mattel teamed up with Playground Games to develop not just a series of new levels, but a brand-new, five-chapter Horizon Story: Hot Wheels: A History of Speed. In the game, players can experience some of the fastest, most extreme tracks ever with the opportunity to design and build their own Hot Wheels tracks with more than 80 distinct, snappable track pieces.
Mattel and Playground Games launched the game in a big way, with a launch stream broadcast live from the Petersen Automotive Museum’s new Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels exhibit in Los Angeles and special, larger-than-life blister packs delivered to select media (including the Toy Book) containing the game, a customized Xbox Series S console and controller, and an assortment of Hot Wheels toys.
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is included with the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition, Expansions Bundle, and Premium Add-Ons Bundle. This add-on requires Forza Horizon 5 (game sold separately).
As players make their way through Hot Wheels Academy in the game, they’ll be able to unlock and access a wide array of vehicles, including the 2013 Hot Wheels Baja Bone Shaker, 1957 Hot Wheels Nash Metropolitan Custom, 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II, 1949 Hot Wheels Ford F-5 Dually Custom Hot Rod, 2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod, 1993 Schuppan 962CR, 2018 Chevrolet Hot Wheels COPO Camaro, 2018 Hot Wheels 2JetZ, 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang, 2018 SUBARU WRX STI ARX Supercar, 2012 Hot Wheels Bad to the Blade, 2019 Brabham BT62, 2006 Mosler MT900 GT3, 2020 SIERRA Cars #23 Yokohama ALPHA, and the 2021 Hennessey Venom F5.
