More than a year after it was first announced, Funko Pop! Blitz has officially launched for Android and iOS devices.

The match-3 puzzle game from N3TWORK in collaboration with Tic Toc Games features Funko Pop! Vinyl versions of popular characters from numerous brands and franchises spanning a variety of licensors. At launch, the game includes character collections inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Back to the Future, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, along with the Universal Monsters; DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon; General Mills and Hostess brand mascots; Cloudco’s Care Bears; and original Funko creations from the Fantastik Plastik and Pop! Pets brands.

“We’re excited to offer Funko fans and mobile gamers alike the opportunity to connect with some of their favorite characters and properties in Pop! form,” says Brian Mariotti, CEO, Funko.

Each character features a unique super move that players can use to blast the board and power-up to learn rewards. The super moves are inspired by familiar moments from TV, film, and commercials. New characters and themed events will take place weekly kicking off today with a Jurassic Park week introducing characters including Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dr. John Hammond, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dennis Nedry, and the Dilophosaurus.

“Funko Pop! Blitz is the ultimate pop culture mashup game,” says N3TWORK CEO Neil Young. “In collaboration with Tic Toc, we have created an accessible yet endlessly delightful game that blends the puzzle game mechanic with beloved characters from some of the world’s most popular entertainment franchises … Whatever you’re a fan of, you’re sure to find it in Funko Pop! Blitz.”

N3TWORK acquired Funko Pop! Blitz last December, following the closure of NBCUniversal’s in-house games publishing business.
