Funko signed a deal with Bandai to make the company the exclusive distributor for Funko products throughout Japan.

Bandai will help bring Funko’s popular Pop! Vinyl figures — featuring film, TV, gaming, and anime IP — to the Japanese market in Q4 of this year.

Some of Funko’s most popular licensed properties within the anime genre include Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, and Naruto, which all hope to find a home among pop culture collectors overseas.

“Japanese pop culture fans will be overjoyed to know that we have exclusively partnered with Bandai to distribute Funko Pop! vinyl figures, soft lines, plush, and board games within Japan,” says Brian Mariotti, CEO of Funko. “Partnering with Bandai is yet another example of the investment we are making in our global distribution and commitment to service our retail partners and consumers across the world.”
