Amazon is celebrating a record-breaking holiday season in which the e-commerce giant delivered more than 1.5 billion toys, home products, beauty and personal care products, and electronics to families around the world. Amazon’s continued growth into entertainment and tech helped to power holiday experiences as more families than ever gathered at home.

The company notes that since Oct. 1, families have been playing holiday music around the clock, with Amazon’s Alexa processing requests for seasonal tunes every minute of every day. By Dec. 22, Amazon Music had served more than 3.5 billion streams of holiday music from more than 230 million voice requests. On-screen, families using Alexa through Fire TV logged millions of requests for holiday movies including Elf, Netflix’s The Christmas Chronicles, Home Alone, and The Grinch.

Earlier this month, Amazon noted that some top toys that were filling shopper’s carts included Mattel‘s Hot Wheels 20 Car Gift Pack, Learning Resources‘ Spike The Fine Motor Hedgehog, the LeapFrog Learning Friends 100 Words Book, and MGA Entertainment‘s L.O.L. Surprise! Present Surprise Doll.
