Today, Hasbro announced that it has promoted Jess Richardson to vice president of global licensed consumer products — toys & games.

In this new position, Richardson will lead a newly created global team designed to mine Hasbro’s full IP portfolio and accelerate the company’s brand portfolio on a global scale in the toy, sporting goods, and games categories.

Richardson will transition from his current position — senior director category licensing, North America — and into his new role later this month.

“The work that Jess has led on Tonka, Micro Machines, Lite Brite, Spirograph, Nerf Sports, and Monopoly game expansion has been instrumental to our success this year,” says Casey Collins, senior vice president and general manager of global consumer products at Hasbro. “I am confident that Jess will continue to build on this success in this new position as he leads the development and execution of strategic plans for the Toy & Games super-categories business across all regions.”
