Hasbro goes for the piggy bank in an innovative way.
To continue its sustainability efforts, global toy and entertainment company Hasbro has launched a new line of wooden Peppa Pig toys available exclusively on Amazon. Offerings include a deluxe playhouse, a train, a car and boat, and family figures.
These new toys are made from responsibly sourced Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood, which ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that specifically provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. Recently, Hasbro partnered with One Tree Planted to plant 100,000 trees and detailed plans to eliminate all plastic packaging for new products by the end of this calendar year.
Kids can play with Peppa, George, Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, and Grandpa Pig across various scenarios, including on a train, in a playhouse, and on a car and boat. Already available on Amazon, this exclusive launch aims to educate consumers just like the television program teaches kids.
Hasbro acquired Entertainment One (eOne), the multinational entertainment company that owns the Peppa Pig franchise, on Dec. 31, 2019, and continues to release products centered around the UK hit.
Ranging in price from $14.99 to $139.99, the toys hit multiple price points and are able to provide access to the brand for any family. Each product ships in simple, recyclable packaging that’s easy to open and frustration free — friendly to parents, kids, and the environment alike.
There is no word yet on future retail expansion beyond Amazon.
