Hasbro’s Monopoly board game franchise only continues to grow. Now, it’s reaching new heights — literally.
Monopoly Builder, the newest addition to the Monopoly legacy, is Hasbro’s latest experiment that’s been recently released into major retailers. When players buy property in this iteration, they physically stack buildings with included builder’s blocks. Kids ages 8 and up can now literally see their properties grow in the middle of the board, dubbed Monopoly Island.
Each player travels along the board, buying properties, collecting rent and resources, and building up their island city. The more a player builds, the more points they’ll earn — the game ends when the penthouse has been built. The game includes the board, four tokens, four reference cards, 16 title deed cards, 20 chance cards, two builder’s bonus cards, 80 cardboard resource chips, 48 plastic builder’s blocks, a plastic penthouse, two dice, a money pack, a money tray, a resource tray, and a game guide.
The Monopoly Builder board game is priced at $24.99, and is currently available at Target.
